Dear Colleagues,

It’s with much pride that we invite all high pressure community colleagues to the 10th Asian Conference on High Pressure Research (ACHPR-10) in Jeju, Korea on November 21-25, 2021. ACHPR has been held every second year since 2000 in Dunhuang of China (1st), followed by Nara of Japan (2nd), Lijiang of China (3rd), Seoul of Korea (4th), Matsue of Japan (5th), Beijing of China (6th), Bangkok of Thailand (7th), Beijing of China (8th), and Singapore (9th) aiming at pioneer discoveries in high pressure research community in Asia as well as worldwide. ACHPR-10 will be held jointly with the 19th International Conference on High Pressure Semiconductor Physics (HPSP) and the 3rd International Workshop on High Pressure Study on Superconductors (WHS2). WHS2 and HPSP were merged after the success of the first joint meeting in Tokyo in 2016 followed by the meeting in Barcelona in 2018.

Hosting three conferences is expected to bring together from different fields of high-pressure scientists in one place for the exchange of ideas, dissemination and discussion of their latest results to create new synergies, strengthening activities in high pressure research. We heartedly appreciate all of your participation and contributions to this international, highly scientific, and multidisciplinary community, with very friendly and warm atmospheres. We believe that these meetings will be an excellent opportunity to understand the current state-of-the-art and challenges for all delegates including beginners and experts. Especially ACHPR-10 will be a stepping-stone to enhance our activities on scientific ideas, clinical practice, entrepreneurial standardization activities, new interdisciplinary and intercontinental collaborations.

In addition, we are excited to offer social programs to explore the marvelous Jeju Island, which has been selected for UNESCO World Natural Heritage in 2007. This breathtakingly beautiful island was created from volcanic eruption in prehistoric era, and is famous for its bountiful forests, rocks, caves, volcanic craters, and grasslands.

The Organizing Committee will do its best to make your attendance of the ACHPR-10 enjoyable and memorable as well as scientifically fruitful, and warmly welcomes you.
